Anxiety and Stress in Children

Anxiety in students is common nowadays. The changes and challenges are normal in the growing stage of a child. They go through many emotional, physical, and social ups, and downs while growing up. Anxiety and stress can be harmful when kids don’t have breaks or when they lack support, over time, excessive stress can have an impact on Children’s Physical and mental health. It is essential to discuss your child’s anxiety or problems, and assure them that you will understand and help them throughout the phase. However, it is absolutely normal for children to sometimes feel anxious about aspects of school life. This is typically temporary, but for some kids, the school can feel difficult, stressful, or upsetting for a longer period of time.

Anxiety is most likely to occur when faced with isolated stressful situations, such as during exam time. The problem with anxiety arises when it interferes with everyday life, and it can persist regardless of the cause. Here’s what parents can do to help their child to cope with anxiety and stress.

1. Encourage them to take breaks
2. Make them participate in extra-curricular activities.
3. Develop coping skills.
4. Spend quality time with them.
5. Inculcate the habit of Meditation.
6. Be free with them
