The D Y Patil Dnyanshanti School is the latest addition to the D Y Patil Educational Complex Akurdi. It is spread over 5 acres with a four storey building and a sprawling playground .The school is affiliated to the CBSE and currently runs classes from Nursery to grade X .It will scale up in natural progression. The school is envisaged to be a three section school so as to keep the numbers limited and ensure personalized learning and individualized attention. DYPDSS is a caring home for students imparting all round training to bolster their mind and senses and prepare them for a VUCA world.
The school offers a robust curriculum using scientific and modern methodologies. It provides a unique line of teaching using multiple intelligences and catering to different learning styles thus ensuring rapid physical and mental growth of a child through well tested processes.

Principal Profile
Mrs.Geeta Prakash Pillai is the Principal of DY Patil Dnyanshanti School. She is an Academician & Administrator with close to 20 years experience .She has a 13 year stint with one of the leading CBSE schools in Wakad to her credit.She joined as a teacher and went on to be the Chief Executive Principal of the School.
She began her teaching career with her Alma Mater- St.Ursula’s High School Nigdi.
She has also fulfilled the role of centre superintendent and observer for various prestigious exams conducted by CBSE. Some of them being the UGC (NET), JEE, Navodaya & NEET. The latest feather in her cap was being the City Co-ordinator for the NEET (UG) 2018. A role that she enjoys tremendously is being Master Trainer with CBSE. She has also been a member of the inspection committee for the affiliation of four CBSE schools.
She is a Post graduate in History from the Pune University and B.ed from Tilak College of Education,Pune. She has an enviable academic record with distinction and first class throughout her academic career.
She is passionate about children and school education. Her aim is to ensure that every student and staff member looks forward to coming to school. It is her constant endeavour to build student self-esteem and encourage understanding of cultural diversity, gender differences and physical limitations.
She is a recipient of the AwantikaShikshakSamman 2013. In 2015 she received a commendation letter from the HRD ministry.

Mrs. Nabonita Roy is currently discharging the role of a Vice Principal in D.Y.Patil – Dnyanshanti School ,Akurdi , Pune. She possesses extensive experience over 21 years in managing the primary children at various reputed schools in the city of Jamshedpur in multiple capacities. During her latest tenure of 5 yearsMrs. Nabonita Roy was working as Headmistress of Little Angels School – a well-known pre-primary school.
Her rich exposure in understanding child psychology enabled her to architect major transformation at Little Angels and Hill Top School in the areas of co-curricular activities for children, engagement with parents , external networking etc. She underwent special training and orientation program in the field of ‘Education Excellence’.
She holds Bachelor degrees in Arts and Education from Universities of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Her passion is to bring changes through innovation.
